The Best Spa in Town

best spa in town

Sure, MoMA and the Empire State Building are cool and all, but if you really want to turn down the stress level and suck the life out of New York City, you need to book a full-out fancy spa day. These spots are the best of the best, with treatments that range from a quick-and-cheap facial to a full-body experience that will make you feel like you got away from it all.

Nestled inside the Greenwich Hotel, this oasis is all about balance, with a collection of healing and calming experiences that combine ancient traditions and natural ingredients. Their Hinoki Ritual ($380) starts with a cleansing soak in their traditional Japanese tub followed by a 90-minute shiatsu massage. The spa also offers a gorgeous (and heated!) swimming pool, relaxing lounge area, and fancy spa water on tap.

This boutique spot is a hidden gem, situated directly across from one of the busiest library’s in the city. The menu is filled with facial and body work treatments that range from classic picks like a purifying facial to more high-tech options like an Emsculpt sculpting treatment or a Power Nap LED session.

Tucked within the Hudson Hards in midtown, this place is all about detox and self-care. They offer a variety of massages that are centered around recovery and body alignment, but their most impressive offering is the Shirodhara—an Ayurvedic ritual where they pour hot oil over your third eye to quiet your mind.
